Ad Groups Management

When you click Edit on an existing campaign, you will be shown the Ad Groups Management section. This section allows you to organize and optimize your ads by grouping them into ad sets or ad groups.

Overview of Ad Groups

Ad groups are subsets of a campaign that allow you to target specific audiences with tailored creatives and budgets. Each ad group can have its own:

  • Targeting Settings: Define audience segments (e.g., demographics, interests).
  • Budget Allocation: Set daily or total budgets for each ad group.
  • Creative Assets: Assign specific creatives to each ad group.

Creating and Editing Ad Groups

To create or edit ad groups, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Ad Groups
    From the campaign overview dashboard, go to the Ad Groups tab under the campaign details.

  2. Create a New Ad Group

    • Click Create Ad Group.
    • Enter the required details:
      • Ad Group Name: A unique name for the ad group.
      • Bid Strategy: Choose between Autobid(Recommended) or Manual strategy.
      • Bid Amount: Set the bid amount(Max:100) for this ad group.
      • Start Date: Specify the start date for your ad group.
      • End Date (Optional): Optionally, specify an end date for your ad group.
      • Pay By : Choose between Impression (CPM) or Click (CPC)
  3. Ad Group Actions

    • Select an ad group from the list.
    • You can either Edit , Duplicate or Delete the existing ad group.

Ad Group Metrics

Each ad group provides performance metrics to help you optimize your campaigns:

Bid AmountThe total amount spent on this ad group.
CTRClick-through rate, calculated as clicks divided by impressions.

Best Practices for Ad Groups

  • Granular Targeting: Create separate ad groups for different audience segments to improve targeting precision.
  • Budget Optimization: Allocate higher budgets to high-performing ad groups.
  • A/B Testing: Test different creatives and targeting settings within ad groups to identify what works best.
